190 Day
We have been collecting all year, and now it is time to spend our money. 190 ten cent coins means $19.
4 of us walked down to the bookshop to choose a book to buy for a kid who isn't getting much at Christmas. We choose these two books, wrapped them up and put them under the tree at K Mart.
180 day
We got green paper and drew around our hands. Then we cut out the hands.
We cut out 180 green hands. What do you make with 180 green hands?
Then we glued the hands onto a piece of paper.
I think we need to add something to our tree!
170 Day
Guess what we counted?
LIDS!
First we counted out 170 lids with a buddy.
Then we got creative with our lids. Here are some examples of what we did.
160 Day
We had to count out 160 paper mosiac squares, tricky!
We counted out 16 groups of 10. 16 X 10 = 160
Then we glued them on paper to make a pattern.
Don't they look colourful and aren't we creative.
150 Day
What can you do with these?
We made edible necklaces with 150 edible beads.
It took quite a lot of counting.
140 Day
We got creative on 140 day.
In teams we collected 140 things, made a picture with them, and took a photo of our creations.
Sam, Hannah and Julia made a jungle with a lion, teddies and a cave.
Jaxton, Brooke and Mujeeb made a house and a beach.
Luka, Charlotte and Tinashe created a city base with a hidden bath.
Arlo and Owen made a base with teddies attacking a town.
We wrote about our creations,
and turned our photos and stories into a book, called 140 day.
130 Day
We made a Gingerbread man each on 130 day . We had 130 lollies to decorate them. 1/2 the lollies were jellybeans, and 1/2 were wine gums.
We used the sticks to work out how much 1/2 was.
1/2 of 130 is 65. 65 + 65 = 130
Our Gingerbread men were delicous!
120 Day
All the junior classes came together to celebrate 120 day. We wanted to see if we could get 120 furry friends at school so we had a Teddy Bears' Picnic and pyjama day.
This is what 120 teddies looks like, 132 actually!
Mrs Bloomfield brought in 10 bags of tiny teddies.
How many teddies were in the 10 bags?
There were 12 teddies in each bag.
10 + 2 = 12
We sorted each bag into a group of 10 and a group of 2.
Then we skip counted in 10s and 2s to work out hoew many we had.
10 X 10 = 100
10 X 2 = 20
100 + 20 = 120.
How many tiny teddies did we get to eat each?
110 Day
We were clowns today so what do you think we got 110 of?
BALLOONS! We counted them into groups of 10. 11 X 10 = 110
Then we blew them up. 110 ballons takes a bit of blowing.
Then we tried to get 110 balloons in the air.
